I like your nom de guerre of "Frogs." It reminds me of Emily Dickinson:

"I'm Nobody! Who are you?

Are you – Nobody – too?

Then there's a pair of us!

Don't tell! they'd advertise – you know!

How dreary – to be – Somebody!

How public – like a Frog –

To tell one's name – the livelong June –

To an admiring Bog!"

You can find my writing through my Substack or my website (https://carolinefurlong.wordpress.com/) and reviews of other "Frog" books here at https://upstreamreviews.substack.com/, where I'm a contributor. Thank you for spreading the word, fellow Frog! ;)

The Greek play about the frogs going "kek" also comes to mind.

This poem you've quoted is quite apt. I'd choose anonymity over public recognition all day. 😉

Just found you through a friend... loved your Accidental Revolution piece and this one supportive of suppressed literary dissent. In that vein my writings might appeal... see my substack or website, nowickgray.com , featuring latest essay collection, Covid Narrative Freedom. Viva FrogLit! :)

So glad I found you on Twitter and signed up for your substack. I love to read and books have mattered greatly in my life. It saddens me to see how much garbage there is in what passes for a library these days, or is elevated and considered to be great writing and stories. Thank you for what you are doing to promote quality. It matters!

Thank you! The best is yet to come and I have a pile of books to review! I have an essay for a publication I am finishing this week, and once that is done I'll be hitting the grindstone and reviewing my next book!

I'm here via Jay Rollins weekly review. These are two fiction pieces I posted recently. I'm also finishing up my first novel, a post-apocalyptic farce, and I've been hoping for a sign of possible publishers to contact. I will be looking more into your site. It is encouraging.

I don't mean to revive an old post here, Mr. Athenaeum, but do you, or anyone else, have a compendium or list of publishers for the kind of folX who follow you? It's hard enough for us who have experienced political marginalization to endure the basic acts of life such as eating and breathing, the least one can do is make me not have to do any due diligence before submitting any work
